Usage Guide

The OSINT Framework is designed to be intuitive. It's an interactive mind map that you can explore to find the OSINT resources you need.

The framework is presented as a tree diagram. Each topic is a node.

  • Expanding and Collapsing Nodes: To explore a category, click on the circle of a node. This will expand it to show its sub-categories or resources. Clicking an expanded node again will collapse it.
  • Accessing a Resource: To open a specific tool or resource, click on its text label. The link will open in a new browser tab.

Understanding the Legend

Each resource link may be followed by a special marker. These markers provide context about the resource you are about to open. Here is what they mean:

  • (T) - Tool: Indicates a link to a tool that must be downloaded and run locally on your machine.
  • (D) - Google Dork: This is a pre-formatted Google search query designed to find specific types of information. For more information, see Google Hacking.
  • (R) - Requires Registration: The destination site requires you to create an account to access the information. Some features might be available without registration, but full access is gated.
  • (M) - Manual URL Edit: This indicates a URL that contains a placeholder search term (e.g., <username>). You must manually edit the URL in your browser's address bar, replacing the placeholder with your target search term.

Dark Mode

The interface includes a dark mode for better viewing in low-light environments. Click the Toggle dark mode button to switch between light and dark themes.
