OSINT Framework

The OSINT Framework is a collection of Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) tools and resources designed to aid in information gathering. The project's primary goal is to provide a simple, web-based interface to a vast repository of free OSINT resources, making them easily discoverable for researchers, investigators, and information security professionals.

Originally created from an information security perspective, the framework has grown to include resources valuable across many fields. It is presented as an interactive mind map, allowing users to navigate through categories and discover tools relevant to their needs.

The live version of the framework can be accessed at osintframework.com.

Key Features

  • Comprehensive Resource Collection: The framework aggregates a wide array of free OSINT tools and websites, categorized by topic (e.g., Username, Email Address, Domain Name).
  • Interactive Visualization: The entire collection is presented as an interactive D3.js tree diagram. Users can expand and collapse nodes to explore different categories.
  • Easy Navigation: Leaf nodes in the tree are direct links to the resources, opening them in a new tab for immediate use.
  • Resource Indicators: A simple legend helps users quickly identify the nature of a resource, such as whether it's a tool to be installed, a Google Dork, or requires registration.
  • Community-Driven: The framework's data is stored in a single, easy-to-edit JSON file (arf.json), encouraging community contributions to keep the resource list up-to-date.
