Using the Graphical Interface

Channel Selection

Once you have authenticated with your token, the main dashboard displays:

  • Left Pane: List of servers (Guilds).
  • Middle Pane: List of channels and categories within the selected server. Direct Messages are listed under the "Direct Messages" pseudo-server.

Export Settings

After selecting channels and clicking the Download button, you can configure:

  1. Format: HTML, JSON, etc.
  2. Output Path: Where to save the files.
  3. Media Options:
    • Download assets: Saves images, avatars, and attachments locally so the export works offline and future-proofs against deletion.
    • Reuse assets: Checks if the file already exists to save bandwidth.
  4. Date Ranges: Pick specific dates to export (After/Before).
  5. Partitions: Split large exports by size (e.g., 10mb) or message count (e.g., 1000).

Application Settings

Click the Gear icon in the top right.

  • Theme: Light/Dark mode.
  • Parallel Limit: How many channels to download simultaneously (Default: 1. Higher values risk rate-limiting).
  • Auto-Update: Automatically check for new versions on startup.
  • Thread Inclusion: Choose whether to display Active, All, or None threads in the list.
